Over fertilization?

Are these signs of 'over caring'?

Common sunflowers (dwarf type) - stunted growth and curling leaves

Corns- start tasseling 30 days after planting, will they meet the silks?

Have a great evening.

Sometimes I think maybe it is a plant virus or too much fert. then I look on the back and find aphids! Check for those too.
Love your corn photo. It does seem early to tassel that soon.

Sorry, Milka, could not advise you on both issues. Have not planted sunflowers in years and my corn plants died on me! Sigh ... !

Diana: I think corn is easy for me to plant during my this lazy period haha.

Rosey: You are right, there are aphids hiding behind the leaves. I thought it is the curl that caused aphids attack.

kitchen flavours: I did not do well on my first attempt on corn too. Hope for a better harvest this time. Fingers crossed!

The leaf distortion may have been caused by aphids. I get that on a lot of my plants.

Yes Milka, its aphids attack! One of my eggplants too was attacked, so I just cut off all the curled leaves and most of the top plant and walla! They grew new perfectly normal leaves again..but must always look for those pesky pests! I see your corns are very healthy, I jealous, must plant again those sweet corns!

May be it's mealy bug or aphid attack! Check under the leaves!

Mark, p3chandan, Malar: Wah you ppl are good. Yes there are aphids! I was just wondering how aphids could attack my sunflower since the whole plant is furry. Will cut off the curling parts and hope will back to normal.

Looks like virus. It may be better to remove those sunflowers. Can be contagious. Aphids can spread virus.

Your jagung looks great.

If I could grow veggies or flowers like you would be good. My urban balcony does not have much sunlight, no way for flowers. Seeing your plants is eye soothing. Do post the corn harvest!
