While my cucumber plants have lots of flowers, they all seem to be male...
I watched all the pretty flowers witlted and dropped off, and waited and waited. Nothing happened. I thought maybe i should wait a little bit longer for the females to come later but the plant died after flowering for a week or so... duh...
I was sad for 30 seconds but was happy again when found one female flower on the other cucumber plant, woot!
The only babe ;)~
I plucked 3 male flowers (yes 3, i wanna 99.99% make sure she got the pollen, haha) to hand pollinate it immediately. I hope the pollination is successful! Fingers crossed!! xD

I chanted 3 times for your female cucumber that it will be fat soon for you.LOL. Our cucumber male and female flower is finally courting so I will be able to pollinate them.
Good luck with your pollination attempt... luckily for me, I did not have to do any artificial pollination and managed to harvest lots of cucumbers...
I left you a message last week, don't know if you saw it. I linked my Year of the Rabbit post to yours.
it should pollinate 100%. I was just a bystander with cucumber over in Putrajaya. I guess insects did it. Huh, it would nice to have laksa penang with finely chopped cucumber!!
My only cucumber plant had died and gone to heaven last month after giving birth to a deformed one and only one cucumber! Better luck with yours Milka, hopefully soon!
All the best! I do that too with jagung, watermelon, pumpkin... Very desperate.
Btw, I hope you don't mind if I do not collect the award, ya?
All,
Hehe thanks for all the prayers haha. We shall see if this set fruit..
One,
No no, don't mind at all. I understand it is quite time consuming and i myself would scratch head when it comes to writing, hehe. No problem ya! :)
Love your little love sparks in the last photos! After all, Valentine is just round the corner! He! He! Hope your cucumber will grow healthily and delicious!
In my town (Europe, Belgrade) now is all frozen, therefore your photos seem refreshing to me. Cucumbers are beautiful.
You should have success with these cukes, since you helped them with pollination. I like the little hearts. Cute.
Anxious to see how this turns out...I am not much of a gardener because I didn't even think of doing that, kinda a basic birds and bees thing huh! =)
haha your last photo made me laugh so much. I can see the little kiss they give.
Good luck with the pollination
